Undergraduate Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity (URSCA) Summit

URSCA provides undergraduate students with an opportunity to highlight their research and creative activity.  The summit will be held on April 13, 2018 in the Moody Music Building- the humanities and fine arts, the natural sciences and mathematics, and the social sciences—will present their research and creative works as posters and oral presentations. Attendance is open to all UA students and the public, but presenters will be UA students (from any program) that have A&S faculty mentors.

What do we do?

Throughout the school year and during Bama Bound, CASPA interacts with incoming and current students from all A&S disciplines. CASPA offers current students a chance to make areal impact on incoming students by sharing inside knowledge about the “REAL” student experience at UA. Peer Advisors are knowledgeable about campus resources, University requirements, campus life, student life, and the Tuscaloosa Community.

The College of Arts and Sciences Peer Advisors, or CASPA is a small, charismatic group of 16 students chosen to represent A&S throughout the school year and summer orientation. CASPA works directly with Academic Advisors to welcome new students, assist with class scheduling, as well as organizing events for current students like tailgates on the quad, fundraisers, community service and workshops.
