The College of Arts and Sciences offers faculty-led education abroad programs in regions across the world.
HIGH-IMPACT EXPERIENCES
Explore, study, and apply academic content through international experiences.

UA in Ghana: Service Learning
This course offers students a unique opportunity to get involved with African communities in a tangible way by integrating service projects with classroom learning. Service-learning agencies include Ghana’s Environmental Protection Agency, elementary schools, hospitals, Governor’s offices, and more.

UA in Italy: Working Across Cultures
This unique program combines professional development with travel abroad and work experience. Students will prepare for internships during May Interim through an online course that will feature a group project in Italy and internship placement during Summer I through the Sant’Anna Institute.

UA in Costa Rica: Tropical Environments
The UA in Costa Rica: Understanding Tropical Environments program takes students to the beautiful country of Costa Rica during the Spring semester. Students earn a full semester’s worth of credit in less than two months — and are done by Spring Break!
