Ares of consideration include:
- Marketing/publicity
- Location reservations
- Date(s)
- Presentation delivery
- Risk management
- Audio visual equipment
Publicizing Events
- Media Boards – UA offers options for posting on media boards specific to A&S or the entire University. For events that are relevant for the entire campus, post through OIT. The College of Arts and Sciences has boards specifically for A&S buildings that can be requested through eTech.
There are two options for creating a media board to either A&S specific boards or those that are throughout campus: (1) send a submission request to have one created by tech staff or (2) create a slide on your own to submit. Try to submit your request at least two weeks in advance from whenever you want your slide to start showing.
- UA event calendar – Post events on the UA calendar. To post, go to the events calendar on UA’s website and click submit event. Login with your MyBama ID. Then, create the event by posting a detailed description of at least a paragraph (4-5 sentences).
- A&S calendar – The College of Arts and Sciences has its own, separate events calendar for publicizing events. To have your event added, contact Franklin Kennamer or submit a publicity request form.
- ICUE calendar – Information about events associated with ICUE can be sent to Pam Derrick.
